Course Requests Analysis
This function will analyse the current course requests and produce lists of any students who have no requests, invalid or duplicate requests, light loads or overloads.
It is important to clear up any mistakes in the students’ course requests before trying to build a final master schedule or schedule students. In our experience, typical errors that occur are students requesting wrong courses, course number 113 instead of 133, resulting in Calculus 12 instead or English 10, duplicate course request, too many course requests, too few requests. Any of these errors will result in the student being scheduled wrongly, but it might also tip the balance of the master schedule and upset several student schedules. Time spent clearing up course request errors is a good investment.
